That's because of a time-honored office tradition: the Super Bowl Squares pool. The concept is simple: Everyone picks a square on a chart and throws in a few dollars. Each square corresponds to the points scored by the Steelers and Packers in the big game. The score at the end of each quarter -- specifically the last digit each team's score -- determines which square wins a portion of the pot.
This year, the Super Bowl score by quarter was as follows:
First Quarter - Packers 14 - Steelers 0
Half time - Packers 21 - Steelers 10
Third Quarter - Packers 21 - Steelers 17
Final - Packers 31 - Steelers 25
