However, Maynard is no pushover, considering that the 31-year-old from Arizona has not lost a single MMA match, including eight-straight fights as a UFC fighter, although he won two of his last three wins via split decision. Another thing going for Maynard is the fact that he defeated Edgar when they first met in April 2008.
Another match to watch is the face-off between Chris Leben and Brian Stann in a middleweight clash that could well end up as the fight of the night. Stann is coming off his first submission victory in the UFC back in August, when he caught Mike Massenzio with a triangle choke.
